Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 5 Schedule

Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 5 is the last stop before the knockout stage, and it is a brutal one: three best-of-three series, all between 2-2 teams, where the winner reaches the quarterfinals at 3-2 and the loser goes home at 2-3. The final Swiss day takes place Saturday, October 31 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, and the full day is laid out in the official Worlds 2026 schedule. For viewers in Singapore, the matches run into the early hours of Sunday morning, so set your alarms accordingly.

The three series, in order, are Movistar KOI vs Karmine Corp at 12:00 p.m. CDT (1:00 a.m. SGT Sunday), LOS vs LYON at 3:00 p.m. CDT (4:00 a.m. SGT Sunday), and Hanwha Life Esports vs Bilibili Gaming at 6:00 p.m. CDT (7:00 a.m. SGT Sunday). Every series is a best-of-three, and there is no safety net: a 2-2 team that loses here is done, no matter how good it looked earlier in the tournament.

KOI vs Karmine Corp: Europe's Last Hope, Twice Over

The opening series is an all-European elimination match with a straightforward stakes sheet. Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp both sit at 2-2, and only one of them reaches the quarterfinals. Karmine Corp arrive with momentum after sweeping CFO 2-0 to reach the final Swiss round, a result we covered in our Karmine Corp sweep of CFO report. KOI, meanwhile, were swept by T1 in Round 4, a loss that dropped them into this do-or-die spot instead of letting them cruise through at 3-1.

This is the kind of series that defines a split for both organizations. Karmine Corp's run through the play-ins and into the Swiss stage has already been one of the stories of the tournament, but a quarterfinal berth would make it something bigger. KOI have the talent to beat anyone on a good day and the inconsistency to lose to anyone on a bad one. In a best-of-three with elimination on the line, draft discipline and nerve matter as much as mechanics, and the team that handles the first game's swing moments usually takes the series.

LOS vs LYON: The Survivor's Bracket Final

The middle series might be the most emotional of the day. LOS are still alive because of one of the tournament's great escapes: they eliminated Team Liquid from Worlds 2026 in a 47-minute decider, a win we covered in our LOS eliminate Team Liquid report. That victory kept the Brazilian squad's tournament going and sent a North American favorite home. Now LOS face LYON with the same stakes: win and reach the quarterfinals, lose and join Liquid on the flight home.

LYON's path here has been rough. They dropped their Round 4 series to Invictus Gaming, one of the teams already through at 3-1, and that loss pushed them into this final elimination round. The concern for LYON is composure: they have shown they can trade with top teams, but closing out a series under elimination pressure is a different skill. For LOS, the danger is the opposite: after the high of beating Liquid, a flat start against LYON would waste all of it. Expect a scrappy series, and expect at least one game to run long.

Hanwha Life vs Bilibili Gaming: The Heavyweight Closer

The nightcap is the marquee matchup of the day. Hanwha Life Esports vs Bilibili Gaming is a battle between two LPL-adjacent giants (Hanwha Life fly the LCK flag, Bilibili Gaming the LPL one) who both expected to be through by now. Neither team planned to spend the last day of Swiss fighting for its life, and that shared frustration is what makes this series dangerous. Both rosters have championship-level players, both have looked shaky at points this tournament, and only one of them gets to play next week.

The winner joins the five teams already qualified: Gen.G and Dplus KIA at 3-0, plus T1, Invictus Gaming, and TOP Esports at 3-1. The quarterfinals run November 3 to 6 in Allen, followed by the semifinals on November 7 and 8, and the Grand Final at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 14. The quarterfinal draw takes shape once these three series are done, and the bracket will reward the survivors with single-elimination best-of-fives from here on out. There are no more second chances after today.

What to Watch For

Three things will decide the day. First, early game discipline: 2-2 teams tend to force plays when they feel the pressure, and the team that stays patient usually wins the series. Second, draft adaptability across a best-of-three: with a full series to adjust, the coaching staff matters as much as the players. Third, stamina: the third series starts at 6:00 p.m. local time, and the teams playing it have had all day to sit with the stakes. Worlds is played on patch 26.20, and the meta has favored teams that can flex between early aggression and scaling compositions.

Knockout stage Pick'Em picks open on October 31 and lock on November 3, so the quarterfinal bracket is also your last chance to get predictions in before the knockouts start. For the full road to this point, catch up on our Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 4 results and the rest of our Swiss stage coverage. Three series, three quarterfinal spots, three teams going home: that is the whole day, and it should be a great one.
